On the promise of land, this Project in liverpool took on a more beneficial opportunity for the people of Toxteth, and a plan to inject visionary ideas alongside the Memorial were tabled. Sir David Adjaye is a world-class designer whose portfolio contains such iconic works as the National Museum of African American History and Culture museum sited on The Mall, Washington DC, and is currently working on the Holocaust Memorial opposite the Houses of Parliament.

Adjaye created a Masterplan to regenerate the area and the vision to add a Liverpool Memorial to his works in Washington DC and Accra, would complete the original Transatlantic Triangular Slave Trade route.
